About Me

I’m a film director & photographer based in Bucharest and available across Europe. I graduated with a degree in Film and TV Directing from The National University of Cinematography and Theatrical Art (UNATC) but my venture into the world of music videos began a little earlier.
After starting out creating low budget videos for emerging artists, I’ve also worked with well-known local names. I love directing music videos as I find a lot of creative potential in the dynamic connection between music, imagery and dance.
Outside my own projects and commercial work, I have been on multiple short film sets, occupying various roles in film crews. As a photographer I explore multiple niches and my favorite one is automotive photography, driven by an enduring passion for cars.

The Vision

I have always been drawn to the oneiric and it’s expressive qualities, therefore dreamy and mystical themes are often illustrated in my projects, primarily through discourse and colors . My visual style also stems from the essence of these themes. Aside from the obvious golden hour, I often shoot at night because I believe it offers a mysterious, soothing atmosphere with a dark twist. I love using cool tones, mostly teal and variations of shades of blue. My editing style aims to obtain clean, professional images suitable for commercial work, while also providing an artistic impulse.

Even though I have a preffered visual style and thematic universe, I always adapt to the shooting conditions and to client necesities.

Regardless of what I’m directing or shooting, I’m always looking to create something unique and memorable that will exceed my client’s expectations. I spend time to carefully plan my projects and shoots to make sure I deliver the best possible product.

  • “Best film” in the final of the Central European Film Festival 2023 for the short “Hildegard” – nominated;

The inspiration

While film and photography are my core creative outlets, I draw inspiration from a diverse array of external sources. Personal experience shapes my inner world and provide emotional depth to channel into my work.

Music ignites my imagination through its atmospheric and emotional qualities.

Short stories expose me to imaginative ideas and narratives I can visually interpret.

Fine art painting offers lessons in visual composition, style and color palettes that inform my frames.

Graphics and digital art help my understanding of fantasy themes and visual storytelling.

I believe artistic cross-pollination across different mediums and genres leads to innovation. The works I create are enriched by pulling from this broad set of inspirations outside the fields in which I directly practice. By blending personal, literary, musical and visual influences, I can infuse my film and photography with a signature tone and layered meaning.
